Job Summary:

Job Summary
This is a full-time hourly role. This position covers all of the job responsibilities of a Research Specialist I, which includes collecting market research data through surveying Guests on a variety of topics across Walt Disney World property. Must be comfortable approaching Guests and handling declines. Job requires carrying equipment, continuous walking and long periods of standing. The information obtained is highly confidential and assists leaders throughout the Walt Disney Company in their decision–making processes.

In addition to those responsibilities, this coordinator role could periodically assist in the day-to-day logistical support at the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. Daily responsibilities include liaison between RSI and Leader on Duty (LOD) for ensuring quotas are met, weather challenges that disrupts the completion of work, scheduling issues, redistribution of work, location/land assignment, technology maintenance, and Guest interaction.

The Research Specialist serves as a voice of our Guests and Cast. Through quality data collection and observation, we will provide unbiased information to our clients that will enable our company to make continuous improvements.

Position Responsibilities
  • High attention to detail when processing/inputting data.
  • Comfortable within confined spaces where there's potential for high levels of crowding
  • Comfortable with remaining stationary for extended periods of time as well as regularly moving between multiple locations
  • Ability to approach Guests on a continuous basis for survey collection
  • Comfortable providing Guest with relevant information
  • Ability to follow recruitment guides to call or intercept guests
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Transporting equipment
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as work independently
  • Utilize Disney’s 5-Keys Service Basics as they pertain to the role
  • Strong communication skills with Guests, Cast Members, and leaders
  • Capable of working in a quota driven environment
  • Capability of working outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Ability to make sound decisions during the absence of a leader

Basic Qualifications
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Self-motivated; reliable
  • Excellent Guest Service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one-year experience in market research or related industry
  • In-depth knowledge of WDW property including Disney Springs
  • Experience recruiting participants for research studies

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
