The Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU) CMC group at *** is dedicated to the establishment of best-in-class manufacturing platforms to support the development of life-changing advanced cell and gene therapy products, including recombinant AAV vectors, lentiviral vectors, and cell therapy products.
*** is looking for an enthusiastic professional with experience in molecular biology techniques to join the Genomic Medicine Predevelopment Vectorology team located in Waltham, MA. The Vectorology team develops next-generation plasmid constructs with the goal of developing robust, scalable, and highly productive processes that enable high-quality viral vector manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently design and conduct experiments to improve AAV vector productivity and quality.
Record experimental procedures and data in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) in a timely manner.
Contribute to a safe, efficient, and effective laboratory environment.
Present findings/results at internal team meetings and write technical reports.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in biological sciences (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Virology or related discipline) with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., Cloning, DNA & RNA isolation, primer design, q-PCR, CRISPR/ Cas) is required.
Experience in mammalian cell culture is required.
Proficient in working with DNA sequence analysis software such as SnapGene or DNASTAR and statistical software such as GraphPad Prism, JMP, etc.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
