The minimum qualifications for Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities are the following:

Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO), or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).

Implements and monitors City investment program and cash management activities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business economics or a related field.

Four (4) years of professional level accounting experience.

The Clinical Accounting Director manages the business

The position completes the close-out and reconciliation of clinical revenue activity

The position develops financial, billing and revenue collection interfaces for

BA/BSC in Accounting or Finance preferred with minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a non-profit contract/grant management setting.

Must possess excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Review daily transactions, schedule of payments, ongoing meetings on AP transactions and recommend payment schedule to Assistant Controller/EVP, Finance.

Assist with the implementation of necessary fiscal policies and procedures for efficient and accurate accountability of Mary’s Center’s finances.

Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller and/or EVP, Finance.

Must have experience collaborating and/or managing a team of junior accountants.

Knowledge of Tulane Accounting Management Systems (TAMS)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally, courteously, and effectively with internal and external contacts

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Two years of experience in departmental budgeting and reconciliation

Knowledge of federal research grants and contracts policies and procedures

Highly organized; ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work assignments

Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Supports the monthly payroll cycle and manages the bi-weekly payroll cycle for the department.

6 years of experience in accounting, payroll and/or bookkeeping.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, and/or business.

2 years of professional accounting, payroll and/or bookkeeping experience.

Act as the primary point of contact for designated accounting clients.

Consult and assist in maintaining client-specific procedures to promote accurate and consistent accounting processes.

Mentor junior-level accountants within each client’s accounting team.

Identify and resolve exceptions between subsidiary ledgers and balance sheets.

Produce monthly financial packages for assigned clients.

Perform bank account reconciliations for a large number of bank accounts.

Two years of experience in grant or related accounting or post award administration of sponsored projects.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Provides support to management on assigned revenue and/or operating expense accounts and proposes suggestions to identify and implement process improvements

Supports management during internal and external audit reviews

Supports management in streamlining the month-end close process through process improvements and automation

Issues and compiles quarterly requirements and accrual requests from various accounting units

Exhibits excellent speaking and writing skills

Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills

Experience using a Personal computer, telephone, copier, printer, calculator, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Financial Applications Software, Adobe, TeamBudget, Laserfiche.
