Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Knowledge of media production and direction, script writing, and the operation of video production equipment sufficient to create quality video programs.

Knowledge of advanced computer technology, and ability to develop advanced original designs.

Operates both IBM and Macintosh computers with word processing, communications, database, graphics, video editing, and other special effects software.

Directs the production of a wide variety of mediated materials (e.g., audio tapes, video tapes, and self-paced instructional materials, etc.).

Writes, produces and directs programs using computer graphics, sound, and imaging video images.

Supervise production shoots for the Broadcasting & Production office. Oversee a Production Assistant(s) to assist with departmental needs.

Oversee student assistants, assist in scheduling their hours, and help them execute the production of the video content plan.

Responsible for videotaping events and athletic contests for inclusion in video content for a multi-platform distribution model.

Must possess a proficiency with Mac systems and Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrated ability in videography and lighting.

Collaborate with building management to coordinate freight access and facilitate

Manage all aspects of production shoot travel logistics for production crew and hair and

Coordinate with Media Manager to ingest media, generate playback links, and provide

At least 10 years of experience in marketing and creative production, preferably at an iconic consumer brand or creative agency.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Shoot live video content including postgame media availabilities and press conferences

Strong knowledge of social video concepts and trends

Must have a working knowledge of wireless audio

Degree in video production, journalism, communications, or media-related field; or at least one (1) – two (2) years of experience

Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere (or related video editing platform), After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder

Must have a demo reel that demonstrates both editing and shooting experience

Concerts, Clinics and other presentations by students, faculty and Visiting Artists are captured daily as supervised by the Production Assistant.

To maintain consistent delivery of quality content department staff tracks daily progress for review and to share updates with the Director.

Flexibility to shift work hours to accommodate projects scheduled outside normal work hours. (Can include weekends and holidays when needed.)

Assist in management of camera and grip equipment, including cleaning, organization, and repairs

Assist in media management for individual projects including media offloading and duplication, footage syncing, footage organizing, and archiving

Experience working on video projects

Experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Premiere

Experience managing projects in Slack, Frame.io, and Vimeo

Prepare camera and grip equipment for use on set

Manage and submit expense reports on a weekly basis.

Manage vendors, invoices and payments.

Very strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Broad knowledge of film production techniques and procedures.

Knowledge of film and music video industry and history.
