Job Description
The Assistant Director of Video Production will work as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics Video Services staff, and report to the Assistant Athletics Director, Broadcasting & Production.

Responsibilities include:
  • Participate in conceptualizing and collaborating with departmental units and coaching staffs on compelling video stories to be produced across the athletics department and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Oversee student assistants, assist in scheduling their hours, and help them execute the production of the video content plan.
  • Supervise production shoots for the Broadcasting & Production office. Oversee a Production Assistant(s) to assist with departmental needs.
  • Produce, coordinate, and edit when needed, the in-house production of external and internal video content. This will include commercials, web and social videos, highlights, banquet videos, and in-venue content.
  • Responsible for videotaping events and athletic contests for inclusion in video content for a multi-platform distribution model.
Education: Bachelor's degree required in Video Production, graphic design, or a related field with experience.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience with non-linear editing (Premiere, Final Cut) with an emphasis on video production for social platforms is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Must possess a proficiency with Mac systems and Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrated ability in videography and lighting.
  • An ability to produce and create exciting audiovisual mediums.
Preferences: Preference will be given to those candidates with collegiate or professional sports production experience, and to those with provable experience in 3 and 4D compositing.
