5+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering or Systems Engineering experience

Strong analytical skills with emphasis on using and/or directing finite element analysis (FEA)

Experience with thermal analysis of mechanical and electronic systems, in space, air or ground environments

Experience designing highly efficient heat exchangers for high temperature applications

Experience in thermal analysis and thermally-constrained design; computational thermal design experience (finite methods) is not required but highly preferred

BS/MS/PHD in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering

Knowledge/experience with thermal evaluation of electronic systems

BSME minimum (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of related experience in electronics validation

Experience in computer/server system-level set-up and validation

Strong testing, troubleshooting, data summary, documentation, and organization skills

Experience and familiarity in standard methodologies of maintaining, organizing, and improving the usability of an engineering laboratory

Architect and design important thermal management solutions for high power electronics

Ownership of elements of product and engineering program management especially in early project phases

Design experience with systems with critical thermal requirements

Experience designing parts with high cosmetic requirements

5+ years direct or equivalent work experience in Product Design

Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics for thermal simulations (e.g., Ansys, ICEPAK, FloTHERM) or an equivalent software

Experience in conducting software testing specifically in macOS or iOS environments, understanding the nuances and intricacies of the platforms.

Experience with Python, Bash, or MATLAB.

Creative problem-solving skills to identify and resolve software and hardware-related issues efficiently and timely.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams across Apple and convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Proficiency in basic thermal measurement methodologies, such as accurately placing thermocouples, acquiring precise temperature readings, and using infrared camera systems.

Strong expertise in software testing methodologies, including test planning, test case development, and test execution.

Experience designing/testing/characterizing refrigeration components and systems

Experience with developing refrigeration component and system numerical models

Knowledge of automotive thermal and HVAC systems including compressors, HVAC assembly, heat exchangers, fluid transfer components, refrigerant types, etc

Quantify required thermal resources and partner with other subsystem engineers to establish interface agreements.

• Role includes pre- and post- sales support, troubleshooting, debug, qualification, and communicating failure analysis results

• Clearly communicate abstract concepts to customers with a wide range of technical and non-technical backgrounds

• Conduct thermal analysis and validate hydraulic-thermal models

• Drive product design development incorporating design rules, performance optimization and manufacturing for HVM (high volume manufacturing)

• Multi-tasking of numerous customer opportunities with the ability to prioritize efforts

• Must understand customer design cycles to drive our product design-in opportunities

Ø Should have experience in Electronics cooling and packaging.

Ø Should have 1 – 10 years of experience in Solidworks and Flotherm XT

Ø Experience in ICEPAK will be an added advantage.

Ability to manage projects with limited guidance.

· Conduct installation qualification of manufacturing equipment, operation qualification, and process qualification.

· Investigate and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and raw materials.

· Lead design of mechanical components and assemblies from concept to production

Familiar with CAD & GD&T , familiar with project management tools

Ability to calculate and design heating and cooling management systems for high voltage battery applications.

Minimum of 3 years in product engineering design release experience

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

Develop the design of related components that satisfy vehicle level functional objectives.

Coordinate ePT HVBS packaging activities with advanced concept engineering team.

Prepare and complete characterization of new materials (primarily thermoplastics) using various equipment and testing capabilities

Experience operating and interpreting polymer characterization techniques (TGA, DSC, DMA, FTIR, etc.)
