Social Worker Associate Float 40 Hours Jobs in Massachusetts

Demonstrates knowledge of relevant hospital specimen collection processes and locations and transport procedures.

Previous laboratory experience, medical assistant, phlebotomy, or anesthesia technician experience preferred

Transports specimens within Perioperative Services to the appropriate department.

Receives and responds to assignments from supervisor following established protocols.

Receives specimens from patient care areas and transports to the appropriate department.

Maintains sample integrity according to established procedures

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.

Excellent communication and people skills. Customer/patient service orientated.

Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred.

National Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
