Senior Category Advisor Jobs in Illinois

5+ years CPG category management experience

Exposure to retail account management and beverage distribution models preferred

Communicate and engage regularly with National Account Directors and Managers

Share Convenience channel-based insights and best practices with Category Development Managers and regional category development colleagues

Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills

Experience in VIP Karma and iDig is preferred

2-3 years of experience in sales or category management within the retail consumer packaged goods.

Demonstrated success in category management or sales, including experience leading customer presentations

Good communication skills (both verbal and written); presentation experience preferred

Experience in the fresh-cut industry preferred.

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Travel to customer meetings, as needed and as requested.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Minimum of 8 years' experience within Grocery or CPG businesses with at least 5 of those years in a leadership position.

Develop and Oversee Merchandise & Assortment Strategy

A bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing from a four-year college or university, MBA preferred.

The position will be hybrid and could be based in any of our division office locations.

What you will be doing

At least 10+ years of experience in sourcing of multiple categories, with thorough understanding of Total Cost of Ownership,

Manage global teams, across different continents. Good Understanding of Make vs Buy analysis.

Previous experience with Commodity / category workouts, to develop healthy pipeline of projects.

At least 10 years of experience in Global Sourcing
