Salary Range for this position is $58,854.40-$88,280.00.

Performs reviews of classes of properties to assure assessment uniformity as verified by state audit.

Researches and collects data for database inventories on new construction, cuts/combinations, and demolitions.

Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred

Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening

Experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal in litigation, real estate, contracts or other relevant work

Experience calendaring deadlines, scheduling hearings, mediations, city council or local government presentations

Experience drafting pleadings, contracts and other legal documents

Knowledge of real estate practices and/or property title clearing and conveyance.

Knowledge of City, State, and Federal laws and regulations.

Perform other related duties as required.

Contacts property owners by telephone and in writing to set up appointments for inspections or other appropriate purposes;

Interviews property owners and others to collect financial information, such as sales data, type of mortgage, income and expenses;

Codes records for assessment purposes to value property;

Reviews accuracy of information put into the computer by clerical staff;

Makes exceptions to property classifications for refuse purposes, as appropriate.

Project Management Professional (PMI) and Certified Facilities Manager (IFMA) certifications preferred.

Develop, establish, and maintain Berkeley Lab’s long-term real property asset management plan.

Manage Berkeley Lab’s Facilities & Infrastructure Mission Readiness, including:

Manage the Laboratory’s critical infrastructure assessments to identify risks and mission gaps.

Analyze Facilities & Infrastructure capability, capacity, and expansion requirements.

Working knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations

Create tailored risk management strategies directly with clients that align with their risk profiles

Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish

Some computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office is required

Experience with accounting and or sales lead software is a plus

Superb analytical, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills are needed to succeed in this role

Experience in use of PCs with word processing, spreadsheet and real estate management software.

Strong negotiating skills and ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to co-workers, agencies, managers and vendors.

Experience in negotiating and managing acquisition and disposal of commercial real estate interests including fee interests and commercial leases.

Experience in analyzing commercial real estate transactions, including financials and transaction documents.

Experience in examining lease and license documents, title reports, surveys, property descriptions, appraisals, and environmental surveys and reports.

Ability to manage staff and foster a team environment.
