Storm water Permit implementation in an MS4 environment, including the monitoring, evaluating and developing best management practices;

Previous experience in municipal government setting;

Certified Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Specialist Certification

Experience maintaining records and findings, documents, correspondence, and related files and records;

Experience managing a database of inspections, events, etc. to assist with annual reporting;

Manages the development of analytical reports, slide decks, charts, infographics and other materials for internal or external use

Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability

Attends meetings with internal and external audiences and gives data-led presentations on program effectiveness

Participates in public information workshops, hearings, and community service program issues as needed

Performs related duties as required

Must have valid driver’s license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance

DAY TO DAY AS A COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

What We Need In a Community Service Program Coordinator

Design, evaluate, and recommend continuance, modification, or cancellation of recreation, educational, child care, special events, and community service activities and programs.

Determine facility, equipment, scheduling, and staffing requirements for programs and events.

Manage and operate a sports facility or a neighborhood community center.

Facilities, equipment, and staffing needed to provide recreation, educational enrichment, child care, special events, or special community services to the community.

Position/job titles will not be considered in determining eligibility for meeting the minimum qualifications for this position.

Coordinate departmental activities with related activities of other departments or outside agencies and groups.

Project/Program management experience and training (e.g., PMP certification) highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, public policy, public health, education, information management, social work, or social science.

Three (3) plus years of work experience in program and/or project management, consulting, or related fields.

Superior critical thinking and written and oral communication skills required.

Experience with conducting research and/or technical assistance projects highly desirable.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
