Production Planner Assistant Jobs

Experience in Production Planning or Project Management is a required qualification.

Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to review proposed changes and establish Engineering Change Order (ECO) affectivity. Execute ECO implementation requirements.

Demonstrate the ability to operate in a regulated industry with working knowledge of ISO and regulatory restrictions.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in operating/evolving planning systems such as Adexa, JDA, 09, or Kinaxis.

Planning, scheduling and monitoring of production requirements.

Review current orders for potential issues and notify manager of changes that could affect the delivery schedule

Use ERP Reports to review/control inventory requirements and work in process.

Coordinate important material deliveries with buyer to manage shortages.

Perform other duties as assigned by the department Manager.

Good verbal and written skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning & inventory control within an ERP environment

Certification in APICS or equivalent is preferred.

Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM).

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Marketing, or Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing or Production Control experience.

Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.

Must possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.

APICS certification (preferred but not required)

Knowledge of SAP master data fields which drives forecasting, planning, production control and shipping functions.

Must possess strong problem identification and problem-solving skills, confident in decision making ability.

Bachelor’s Degree along with 5 – 7 years’ experience in a similar position.

APICS or CPIM certifications a plus.

Adapt to reprioritizations and communicate effectively the impacts to the company from any decisions management flows down

Evaluate raw material requirements to ensure availability, working closely with Buyers

Work within given constraints of quality and flight authority requirements

Organize, plan, and schedule based on order requirements accordingly to improve workflow and optimize for customer needs

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

0-2 years of experience in a production or material planning role

Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as: Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP Production/Inventory management systems required

At least 1 year of Scheduling/ Production Planning/Inventory Management experience required

Communicates with supervisors and department managers production planning changes.

Communicate with Shipping any special requirements or expediting of material.

Manage cart count balance between processes to ensure imbalances are not created

Must be organized and have great communication skills

Partner with maintenance and manufacturing management to accommodate preventive maintenance

Problem solving and decision-making capabilities; strong analytical skills

Working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP

4-6 years of progressive manufacturing experience.

Monitor exception groups to ensure we are producing all that is required and only that which is required.

Create production orders for rework, remake, internal use, and development.

Facilitate clearing of technical post processing work flow for production orders.
