Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.

Valid Nevada Food Handler Card, TAM Card, and Non-Gaming Sheriff Card

Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.

Collects tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.

Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.

A servers responsibilities primary duty is to provide excellent customer service, take orders, and deliver beverages and food.

Meet with the supervisors daily and prior to service to discuss that day's offerings.

Knowledge of local area and resort.

Preferred ski and or snowboard experience: None to Beginner

Servers are also expected to answer questions regarding the menu, and Lee Canyon.

Work closely with other wait staff/kitchen staff/bar staff to ensure the restaurant is operating efficiently.

Knowledgeable of selling techniques and service delivery of menu items of every course and both non and alcoholic beverages

Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome

Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach

Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment

Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned areas, side stations, tables and Point of Sale (POS) stations

Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency

Maintain knowledge of house drink selection and menu items and make recommendations to dining room guests.

Anticipate guest needs and acknowledge special requests and act.

Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.

At least six months food server experience.

Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

Sommeliers Certification or similar professional beverage certification(s).

Take food and beverage orders from guests and serve in a proper and courteous manner.

Ensure all orders are properly rung up on the Point of Sales computer.

Ensure completion of side work.

Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Take food orders from guests according to set procedures as well as act as a property host.

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language and utilize math skills for guest checks.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to complete job requirements and communicate with other employees.

Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information.

Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Knowledge of Burtons Grills quality standards and 100% adherence.

Responsible Cash Handling: Utilizing personal integrity and basic math skills to handle the assets of Burtons Grill in a responsible manner.

Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience

integrity, initiative, knowledge, quality, teamwork, balance, and fun.

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work.

Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships and sustain them over time (e.g. to create regular guests).

Maintains knowledge of all specials and general descriptions of all food items and explains to guests.

At least two years of previous experience working as a food server in a fine dining restaurant or a luxury environment.

Excellent Written, Verbal, and group presentation communication skills.

Basic knowledge of wine and liquor, including wine service techniques.

Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.

Takes food and beverage orders in a friendly and timely manner and ensures accurate entry and delivery.

College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required

Two to three years previous experience in a supervisory, assistant manager or manager position in Food & Beverage

Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.

Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

One to two years’ experience working in Food & Beverage preferred

TABC & Food Handlers Certifications required
