Knowledge, Skill, and Work Experience Required:

Basic computation skills including measuring, calculating and estimating.

Clean parks of debris and trash. Paint indoor and outdoor facilities. Dig and maintain garden sites.

PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT - PERMANENT INTERMITTENT/ CAPITAL DISTRICT / FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT / OPERATION SERVICES

Responsible for balancing daily receipts, records, banking deposits, master finance logs, paperwork, financial dialog, and correspondence with administration banking institution.

Recruit, selects, trains, supervises, coaches, and evaluates seasonal and temporary staff.

Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for seasonal staff and facility operation.

Ensures that all facility buildings, equipment, and grounds are properly maintained and safe for the use by the public.

Works under a higher classified employee and maintenance personnel to schedule necessary work to maintain mechanical/special systems and equipment.

Coordinates inspections of all systems and equipment and assists with decisions of cost effective repair replacement.

Reviewing maintenance requests and assessing materials, equipment, and labor requirements.

Must possess demonstrable ability to read and understand written and/or verbal material and instructions, effective communication skills

Overseeing all operational needs of the administration office including direct supervision of parks staff.

Assisting Park administrative staff in purchasing and reconciling purchases, budget forecasting, SFS & BETS administration, and coordination of region-wide spending initiatives.

Managing coordination of permits and assisting Environmental Educator as needed.

Covering the front desk as necessary by answering phones, taking messages, and registering patrons for programs.

Manages efficiencies – develops task time standards and establishes time management best practices and completion rates

Prepares budget for management approval

Creates training plans for Park Maintenance personnel; ensures required personnel certifications are in good standing and/or renewed in a timely manner

Microsoft Office suite, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook

Manage tasks and deadlines in an organized and professional manner

Must have 2+ years of experience on an A+, new construction property, with knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and grounds maintenance.

Knowledge of general maintenance as well as repairs of HVAC, plumbing, appliances, electrical and pool equipment.

Represent property and Hanover professionally through dress and behavior. Qualifications:

HVAC Certification is required and Pool Certification is a plus.

Complete service requests in a timely manner.

Assist in painting and shampooing of vacant units.

Assists Director of Operations to run day-to-day operations including customer account management

Knowledge of current educational policy

As a Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

Dedicating time to hiring, developing and providing on-the-job and classroom education opportunities to techs and community care associates

3+ years of supervisory experience and a track record of hiring, developing and retaining high performing teams

An HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification

Experience with operational equipment, including but not limited to weed eaters, lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws;

Experience in facilities, including basic building maintenance and cleaning of restrooms, offices and common areas;

Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request

Post-high school education is required
