Mechanic Maintenance Jobs in Indiana

Journeyman card, or four years documented experience in Machine Repair, or Machine Tool Maintenance & Repair Technical Certificate

May be required to perform major repairs on machine tools, boilers, cranes, underground piping, etc., and cutting work.

Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep/report maintenance records.

Performs incidental duties pertaining to the classification, as required.

Must have manual dexterity, color vision, and no fear of confined areas.

Will be required to work in cramped, noisy, and elevated areas exceeding 30 feet.

Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils

Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps

Welding equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by scope of work

Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment

Two (2) year industrial maintenance degree or pursuing degree in related field, and/or five (5) years industrial maintenance experience

Two (2) year Electrical degree OR Electrical certificate OR five (5) years Industrial Electrical experience

Welding Experience: MIG, TIG, ARC, and stainless steel welding techniques

Knowledge of AB PanelView+, and ControlLogix.

Experience working with vendors and contractors

What shifts? Rotating (7a-7p) and (7p-7a)

Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, construction in a plant or industrial environment

Prepare Plant reports as required and maintain an inventory of regularly used repair supplies or equipment.

Assists personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Performs repairs as required on plant processing equipment and performs maintenance on plant grounds as required.

Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicle, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety.

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
