Mechanic Maintenance Jobs in Florida

College degree, trade school or certification in a related field is preferred.

0-1 year experience with mechanics or electronics through work or school is preferred but not required

1 + years of IFE or avionics experience is highly preferred, but not required.

Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.

Plans and performs complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.

5 years production/line machine maintenance experience

Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.

Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment, will provide measurable improvements and enhancements systems.

Electrician or Millwright (Dual Ticket – Electrician/Millwright an asset)

Skilled in reading comprehension, writing, and basic mathematics knowledge.

Requisitions maintenance supplies and materials through the Campus Facilities Coordinator or Plant Manager for North, East, West and Spring Hill Campuses.

Completion of basic HVAC courses and/or field experience.

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.

Basic knowledge of the practices, methods, materials and tools used in building, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical trades.

Skilled in the use and care of tools, equipment and materials of the HVAC trade.

You will use your extensive knowledge to assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs

Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)

Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)

You are willing to work under pressure to fix equipment

You will work urgently to get the equipment back up and running

You will be troubleshooting issues on a wide variety of equipment

TPM maintenance knowledge and abilities preferred

At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience

Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment

5+ years of mechanical/electrical experience highly preferred

Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred

Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge highly preferred

TPM maintenance knowledge and abilities preferred

At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience

Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment

5+ years of mechanical/electrical experience highly preferred

Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred

Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge highly preferred

Attend and participates in classes, seminars, workshops, and other continuous education as appropriate to enhance professional

Perform all duties following safe work practices. Must be compliant with Lock-Out Tag Out and Confined Space programs.

Answer and resolve facilities related service requests for patients and clinical staff.

Responds to emergency situations that include fire, elevator entrapment, water leaks, and utility outages.

Perform various Preventive and Corrective Maintenance tasks to maintain facilities infrastructure, systems, and equipment in the

Complete engineering rounds to monitor the operational status of equipment and systems.

A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, preferably with heavy machinery.

Experience with mechanical or electrical repairs.

Team-oriented with communication skills required to work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and production operators.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida driver’s license

Visually inspects, operates and listens to equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

Dismantles and reassembles engines on vehicles, generators, and other motorized equipment for routine maintenance and repair.

Changes fluids, lubricates equipment for optimal performance.

Examines parts for damage or excessive wear; order, receive and install replacement parts.

Changes and repairs vehicle tires as needed.

Knowledge of NEC Code a plus

Experience with Residential Customers a PLUS

Generator knowledge is a PLUS (generator training is available)

Generator training or certification a HUGE PLUS.

Auto mechanic or auto knowledge a PLUS

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Education / Licensure / Certification

Two years of training and/or experience in general maintenance activities.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively manage an electronic Work Order Management System.

Knowledge of mechanical trade principles and theories.

Knowledge of trade-specific building systems and equipment.

Must have or be able to obtain the MVAC 609 refrigerant recovery certification within 90 days of hire

Ability to obtain any necessary ASE certifications within 90 days of hire

Experience troubleshooting, removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting engine emission, driveline, and electrical/electronic components

Experience rebuilding and repairing gearboxes

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Perform preventative, corrective and unplanned maintenance on transportation vehicles
