Logistics Claims Manager Jobs

3-5 years of experience working on logistics, supply chain, or 3PL teams

Experience utilizing Oracle ERP and Microsoft Excel

Investigate, triage, submit, and document information related to each individual claim including those related to customer deductions, transportation, and warehousing.

Determine parties responsible for the claim and perform chargeback(s) accordingly

Input information to Oracle ERP

Utilize High Radius and Tableau for reporting

Create weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports based upon data from portfolios and document effectiveness of processes

Work closely with our actuarial, M&A, and finance teams to manage portfolios

Build and manage the relationship claims service providers

Assist Claims Portfolio managers on any issues as needed

Knowledge and understanding of claims processes, systems and handling

Deep experience of Excel and Power BI/PowerApps

Excellent interpersonal and time management skills as well as a high degree of sound judgment, discretion, and initiative.

Partner with business units and TPA to utilize all tools available for ‘Return To Work’ programs, nurse case management, etc.

Communicate with the Director, Claims Management to develop case strategy in effort to ensure the best possible results

Assist with general liability, auto liability, subrogation, property claims and other special claim management projects as necessary (5%)

Develop and manage fleet management safety and claims programs for company car drivers (5%)

Special projects assigned by Director, Claims Management and VP, Risk Management (10%)

Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a leadership/managerial role.

Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant claims management software.

Strong knowledge of estimating processes and scoping guidelines.

10 years relevant experience of which at least 3 years should have been in a management capacity/ leadership role.

Manage claims spend in line with growth cost per claims targets. (Average cost of claim.)

Identify, control, manage and minimise operational risks, fraud and claims leakage.

Manage relationships relating to the non- payment of claims

Develop work routines in line with operational plans / schedules in order to manage achievement of service delivery goals.

Share knowledge on, and participate in the creation of new standards, control systems and procedures to maintain service delivery.

Exceptional communication skills including the ability to develop and present clear and concise analysis and recommendations to senior management

Strong ability to engage/interact with leadership, writing and analysis skills, and autonomous/self-starter

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

One of the current certifications (CPC, CHC, CCS, CCS-P, CIC, COC, CRC, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA) strongly preferred

Ten years of experience including at least 5 years working/supervising in a claims department is required

5+ years of Project Management experience.

3+ years of Project Management experience working for a healthcare insurance provider (payer).

Report and escalate to management as needed.

Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology.

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

· 3-5 years of logistics and freight claims management experience or in a similar field.

· Experience dealing with freight carriers, claims, and investigation management.

Experience, Abilities, and Qualities Preferred:

· Manage the carrier food safety program by assisting terminals with food safety issues.

· 1-3 years of LTL freight transportation and supervisory experience.
