Job Description

Are you looking for a new challenge in the exciting world of sustainable battery production? Do you have International Logistics Management experience in chemicals / hazardous materials?

Our client is transforming the battery metals industry, with their patented technology, used in the recycling and production of lithium-ion battery materials.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Logistics Manager, to join a leading company in the sustainable battery production industry. As a key member of the team, the International Logistics Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic sourcing strategy.

The successful candidate will be proactive in identifying gaps and develop long-term contract and supply strategies for logistics operations and logistics purchasing within import and export activities. You will also be:

  • Understanding the current market and outlook for Logistics and establish robust supply strategies that will ensure operation reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Supporting the issue management process, including late delivery issues, supplier performance, price changes initiated by the supplier post-negotiation, scope/product changes, etc.
  • Partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, EH&S and Quality teams to map and address critical requirements.
  • Experienced in rail, freight, freight forwarding, road, air, shipping.


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in international logistics management, with import and export between the U.S and Europe. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills, are essential. Knowledge of logistics operation / logistics purchasing for high hazard materials is essential.

This role is remote based in North America, the successful person should be able to work based on U.S Eastern Time. There will be around 25% travel time. This role could also be based from Europe, if this is the case, then this person would not need to work to U.S Eastern Time.
