Oversee procurement and management of contracted vendors for the Language Services Program.

Manage oversight and compliance of the City of Minneapolis’ Language Access Plan.

Knowledge of community engagement principles

Bilingual skills in Spanish, Somali, Amharic, Oromo, Hmong, Vietnamese and/or Lao.

Monitor and coordinate the assignment of vendors to fulfill requested interpreting and translation services via the Language Services Portal.

Troubleshoot in person or remotely, formally or informally with school leaders as needed

Minimum of 2 years DI teaching experience in any of the following programs:

Strong knowledge of multiple DI Programs such as Reading Mastery, Signatures Language, DISTAR, Espanol to English, Corrective Reading

Support effective DI Instruction through weekly data analysis, feedback, observations and coaching

Facilitate and/or participate in Weekly Problem Solving Calls to provide clear next steps via the Weekly Problem Solving Summary

Provide group/regroup/test up recommendations based on DI Placement/DIBELS test results

At least 3 years of increasingly responsible positions within the field of education, with at least 1 year of management experience

Demonstrate effective project and time management skills

Implement other plans or management requirements as needed

Identify and coach emerging organizational leaders to step into pre-leadership roles through scaffolded project management.

Maintain and build knowledge in current innovations, research, theories, technologies, and trends in health and wellness, education, and youth development.

Support the management of day-to-day operations by setting clear expectations, monitoring end results, and holding people accountable to goal achievement.

Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.

Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance/quality control methodologies.

1-2 years of experience in a Program Coordinator or Project Coordinator role or equivalent administrative experience.

Collaborates with system program managers on new constructions and project development

Develops and coordinates Continuing Education for LAS Reps and QBAs.

Maintains technology inventory for laptops, iPads, pages, cell phones, etc., and tracking.

Deploys interpretation technology as Children’s grows with new sites, reallocation, and remodeling.

Language Vendor liaison for screening, staffing, and best practices

In collaboration with approved vendors, does maintenance and repair of system-wide language access devices not owned by Children’s.

Provide support to instructors (both online and in-person) with the integration and use of technologies, including Canvas/Learning Management Systems

A minimum of three years experience teaching Spanish or Portuguese

Knowledge of Universal Design and DEI principles

Experience teaching Spanish or Portuguese at the university level

Assist remote instructors with the creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of course sites in Canvas

Hold regular check-ins with online/remote instructors
