Intern Lab Technician Jobs

Performs data entry using various types of applications

Performs chemical analysis of grapes, juice, fermenters, and wine following standard operating procedures and protocols

Samples and analyzes wine/juice in tanks and barrels

Maintains ISO 9001 compliance within the lab

Makes standard reagents and stock solutions following standard operating procedures and protocols

Evaluate, demonstrate and recommend capabilities for off-the-shelf solutions for developing internal company training tools

Strong communications skills and a team player

Support Prototype coordinator in achieving on-time deliveries of prototype components

Perform modifications to electronic circuits, harnesses, load boxes and prototypes based on schematics, wiring diagrams and verbal instructions

Provide support to engineering team and technicians in debug of test systems

Assist with the fabrication of custom harnesses for various project needs

Organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage various types of tasks throughout day

Wine production/cellar work experience preferred

Physical requirements include the ability to:

Maintain databases, data entry, and QA/QC.

General knowledge of California fish species and/or freshwater invertebrate families preferred.

Perform laboratory work under supervision, including freshwater invertebrate sample processing and tissue preparation (scales and otoliths) for ageing and microchemistry analysis.

Interpret and follow established lab protocols, guidelines, and procedures.

Produce accurate, timely and quality work products and be accountable for meeting objectives.

Visual identification of fish and zooplankton species found in the California Delta, using proprietary video review software.

Knowledge and experience with Python, C, Java

Due to government contract requirements candidates must be a US Citizen

Contribute to implementation of software applications required by currently funded projects

Test, validate and document developed software

Currently enrolled in software engineering undergraduate program

Highly motivated to learn and collaborate with other engineers

Experience in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, or data visualization platforms.

Detail-oriented, quick learner who pays attention to detail and has good organization skills.

Current student majoring in psychology, neuroscience, or a related degree.

Interest in adolescent or child development, neuropsychology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), sleep, substance use.

Data collection, entry and filing

Participation in sensory analysis as directed

Assist lab coordinator in setup, facilitation, and clean-up of bioskills lab

Routinely presents information and responds to questions from clients, customers, managers and the general public

1-2 years of prior research and/or lab experience is required

Develop and/or implement new Standard Operating Procedures and review existing processes

Assist lab coordinator in developing promotional materials for lab

Keep the storage and prep rooms clean and organized

Participates in Intern Workshops to better enhance overall business knowledge.

Handles special projects and all other duties, as assigned by the Support Services Manager & Continuous Improvement Specialist.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook, as well as internet research skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Some experience with coding, Visual Basics or Power BI is a plus but not required.

Experience with and knowledge about basic chemistry and safe work habits in a laboratory environment.

Test lab experience (high school or university lab experience is sufficient).

Candidates must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
