Job Description
Summary The Bioskills Lab Intern provides support to the bioskills lab coordinator. Position requires variable hours, Monday - Friday at our Carmel, IN research lab facility. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.


  • Assist lab coordinator in setup, facilitation, and clean-up of bioskills lab
  • Assist in handling specimen before and after labs
  • Track marketing progress in CRM
  • Keep the storage and prep rooms clean and organized
  • Develop and/or implement new Standard Operating Procedures and review existing processes
  • Assist lab coordinator in developing promotional materials for lab

  • Able to read and comprehend instructions, write reports and correspondence, and respond to questions verbally and in writing
  • Routinely presents information and responds to questions from clients, customers, managers and the general public
  • Routinely writes detailed reports
  • Routinely solves practical problems
  • Routinely read, interpret, and analyze data and reports
  • Routinely applies common sense understanding of lab and research language to carry out instructions


Supervisory Responsibilities - None


Work Environment


  • This position is primarily performed in a general office environment with periodic exposure to toxic or hazardous waste encountered in a research lab


Physical Demands


  • Continuous standing, walking, sitting
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling
  • Frequent speaking, listening, computer and phone use
  • Infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds


Travel Required - None


Required Education and Experience


  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 1-2 years of prior research and/or lab experience is required


Preferred Education And Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
