Job Description

Position Title: Health Innovation Research Associate

Department: 9030|IRI-Tech Transfer

Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Director of the Louisiana Center for Health Innovation (LCHI), the Health Innovation Research Associate is responsible for supporting the Louisiana Center for Health Innovation research team within the Informatics Research Institute in conducting health equity and other health innovation research projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in health equity or other health innovation research projects.
  • Conduct qualitative data collection and analysis, such as interviews, focus groups, and participant observation.
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative results and summarize findings into drafted narrative material for incorporation into research reports and recommendations.
  • Participate in collaborations with community-based organizations and stakeholders to build trust and partnerships.

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in public health, sociology, psychology, social work, communications, or another related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with population health issues.
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis.
  • Experience with health equity or a related equity field, such as economic equity, educational equity, environmental equity.
