Assist General Manager in development of the department’s annual budget. Monitor performance against plan.

Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff: hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training and development. Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.

Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office.

Enforce standard procedures for the acceptance, security, and return on guest lost and found items.

Maintain standard procedures for security of on-loan equipment.

Maintain productivity and labor cost goals.

Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location preferred.

Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and team.

Operate extractors, dyers and blower fans as needed.

Determine spotting procedures and proper solvents, based on fabric and stain types.

Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines.

Ability to work effectively with others.

Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.

Use a keyboard to operate various property management and reservations systems, etc.

Be original by building connections with our guests and being imaginative to create memorable experiences.

Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.

Basic math skills are used frequently.

Drive Service Center profitability through increased sales, gross profit, P&L management, and labor cost control

Experience managing a Service Center in the RV, automotive, marine, or power sports industry is strongly preferred

High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Previous experience in similar role preferred, but not required.

Cleans meeting room, corridors, and rest rooms.

Cleans carpets and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaner, broom & shampoo machine.

Washes walls, ceilings, moves & arranges furniture.

Removes trash collected by guest room attendants.

At least 2 years prior facilities maintenance experience

Dusts, vacuums and overall maintains all public areas, hallways, restaurants, bars, rest areas and other spaces assigned.

Collects soiled linens for laundering and received and stores linen supplies in appropriate locations.

Refurnishes areas with supplies as required.

Interview all prospective final candidates for any vacant management position within the hotel prior to any offer being extended.

Maintain direct contact with and monitor the development of management trainees.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Hold a monthly financial review with all department managers, M.I.D.'s and available supervisors.

Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate sponsored training programs.

Adhere to all Highgate Hotel policies and procedures and train new managers to ensure compliance.
