Minimum 5 + years of professional safety experience in warehouse and manufacturing industry

Minimum 5 years management experience and 10 years HSE experience

Manage all HSE activities within the operational context (i.e., ensure plans, tools, and processes are in place to allow for success).

Facilitate and coordinate HSE training that addresses strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and growth of individuals.

Experience in transforming safety culture,

Professional certification is a plus (i.e., CSP, CIH, etc.),

Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capability,

Monitors and assists with implementation of the project HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.

Supports project teams with the implementation of the emergency response plan and monitors project security requirements.

Verifies that equipment and tool inspections are being conducted and documented as per requirements.

1 year of experience in a related industry.

Identifies and assists in conducting project specific HSE training.

Strong Management Operating System (MOS) administration

Working knowledge of basic computer skills

8+ years of progressive experience in HSE

Strong oral and written communication skills

Record of progressive HS&E experience

Significant experience in HSE field

Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:

Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Have a thorough knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental principles and best practices.

Minimum of 8 years work experience within HSE or related equivalent function.

Experience of implementation, development or auditing of management systems; OHSAS 18001/ISO45001, ISO50001, ISO14001, ISO9001

Support and implement robust risk management systems.

Chair HSE committee meetings and conduct periodical management reviews.

Management of internal HSE audits and external compliance audit programme, supporting 5S audits.

Support managers to secure meaningful employee involvement in HSE.

Work together with site leadership on budget and finance planning as per site strategy.

Comprehensively develop a strong corporate safety culture and Environmental, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) for the team.

Perform catastrophic event management and investigations for owner operations and utility scale power projects across North America.

Participate in vendor pre-qualification analysis as pertaining to HSE performance, compliance, and capability.

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field. Advanced degree and professional HSE certification preferred.

CSP (CUSP preferred) certification (required). Other certifications such as ASP, CHST, STSC, CHMM, NCSO, CHSC, CRSP are welcomed.

Conduct HSE risk audits, assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and develop mitigation action plans.

Attend the Contractors’ preconstruction kick-off meetings to discuss overall safety requirements of the Contractor as it relates to JV’s safety program.

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar leadership role in managing Construction Health and Safety

Demonstrated experience as change agent, influencing construction/HSE behaviors for the better

Demonstrated and successful experience in making objective and positive improvements in safety

Strong interpersonal and communications skills to engage with multiple stakeholders including owner, contractors, A/E’s, JV staff, etc.

Coordinate with program staff to ensure that adequate safety resources and PPE are available and used properly to support project safety.

3 - 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting working in a Health, Safety & Environmental Role.

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence team members in a positive manner that instills change and maintains safety policies.

Proven comprehensive knowledge of US occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Professional EHS certification is preferred.

Competitive wage - $75000 - $95000 starting salary

Acts in an advisory capacity to business unit management in regard to HSE issues.

Education: Bachelor´s degree in Occupation Health and Safety Engineering or equivalent.

Licenses/ Certifications: As requested by local regulations (if applicable)

Experience: 5 years required in similar positions.

Language: Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Spanish.

Travel Requirements: 10% of time out of PR.

Have strong knowledge HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NFPA etc), Regulatory and Legal requirements.

Reviewing the ongoing development/rollout Projects with functional Heads and include HSE requirements in frame agreements.

Ensuring SLAs prepared by functions against HSE controls are timely renewed and requirements where missed are incorporated.

Experience with power utility companies or telecommunication company is preferable.

Certifications: LAC 45001 and 14001 is mandatory. NEBOSH IGC is preferable.

Responsible for reviewing and updating HSE SOPs/framework with functional HSE team.

Use working knowledge of functions within the Incident Command System and National Incident Management System
