Role Overview
Providing HSE support to the local commercial, supply chain, and surgical services teams at Caribbean. Puerto Rico(based)
Responsibilities:
- Participates in scheduled corporate HSE audits.
- Oversees the design of a comprehensive ergonomic process
- Plan and execute campaigns supporting the behavior-based safety program.
- Ensure HSE SOPs implementation and keep document records updated.
- Acts in an advisory capacity to business unit management in regard to HSE issues.
- Conducting HSE compliance inspections based on the HSE Manual for Commercial Operations.
- Define, recommend and control the personal protective equipment according to the hazard’s identification and risk evaluation.
- Reporting Sustainability metrics on a monthly basis.
- Improve HSE culture and design different strategies to engage people with the HSE principles.
- Coordinates the efforts in the development, implementation and facilitation of Safety Committees in the Commercial Operation
- Define a training plan and facilitate HSE training for all levels.
- Develops and coordinates the HSE procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local codes and regulations.
- Develop and Implement an annual HSE Strategic Plan.
- Identify environmental aspects and evaluate environmental impacts.
- Implement HSE controls at new projects and other related activities.
- Support emergency response program and ERT activities.
- Support Occupational Health representative group.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor´s degree in Occupation Health and Safety Engineering or equivalent.
- Licenses/ Certifications: As requested by local regulations (if applicable)
- Experience: 5 years required in similar positions.
- Language: Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Spanish.
Travel Requirements: 10% of time out of PR.
