Participate in system-wide and community-based education utilizing peer-to-peer supportive education skills.

Initiate standing orders, wound orders, etc. to ensure timely delivery of symptom management and care.

Effectively educate patient/family regarding the philosophy, CFL services, the admission procedure, crisis prevention, and right/responsibilities during the provision of hospice care.

Responsible for assuring nursing home patients are in non-skilled beds (including letters if needed).

Responsible for initiating hospice chart in skilled nursing facilities and ensuring all appropriate facility staff are notified of hospice admission.

Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations required.

Three years managerial experience in a hospice or related health care organization preferred.

Assist in planning and implementing in-service and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of agency personnel.

Assists and monitors compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of agency personnel.

Perform administrator on-call duties in rotation with other agency managers.

Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills required.
