Demonstrates effective pain management techniques.

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of multi system assessment and reassessment.

Demonstrates the ability to coordinate effective patient/family education and discharge and transfer planning.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of signs and symptoms of abuse and reporting mechanism.

Demonstrates knowledge of how to use equipment pertaining to patient care. How to maintain and clean equipment.

Demonstrates effective communication methods and skills using the lines of authority appropriately.

Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills in fiscal management, strategic planning, and program and staff development.

Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment.

Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.

Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.

Identify personal educational needs, seek avenues to meet those needs, and participate professionally in education activities.

Assesses and documents patient’s pain using appropriate pain scale and manages patient’s pain.

Assesses educational needs of patients, care givers and family considering cultural issues and other special challenges.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Minimum one year current clinical experience as a registered nurse.

Minimum one year experience in an acute medical-surgical or critical care setting.
