Graduate Electrical Designer Jobs

Programming experience with Rockwell PLC and HMI platforms

Experience with ControlLogix PLC platform

Experience design and commissioning lifting/hoisting machines.

Familiarity with the requirements of ISO quality control systems

Contribute to all phases of projects from concept to design, build, start-up, installation and service.

Using a CAD software package modify existing drawings to reflect changes

•Excellent Knowledge in Single line diagram, Specification, Process Data Module and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram

•Knowledge about Location Layouts and Electrical equipmentand different Instrument Identification

•Sound Knowledge on MS Excel, MS Access, SharePoint and Aconex

•Minimum 3 years of field work experience is needed

•Willing to work on site and remote location

0-5 years of experience in electrical engineering and the design of building power and lighting systems

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; good knowledge of industry software is preferred

The electrical designer will assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the execution of specific assignments

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment

Originates, develops and updates electrical designs for products relating to defined company or customer requirements.

Utilizes AutoCAD/CAD systems for electrical design and drawing creation for all Besser products.

Updates electrical designs or existing customer applications.

Creates, edits and queries bill of materials on business system.

Completes required forms for drawing revisions and releases.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational background and/or working knowledge of power systems, including three-phase power and electric machines.

No work experience is necessary for this role.

Approximately 0 – 2 years of experience in electrical plant design and system studies.

Must be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.

Work with senior studies engineers and design engineers to develop electrical system models to support the project design and interconnection process.

Produce written reports conveying study results within the project schedule.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Requires accredited drafting training and discipline training or have prior working experience;

Requires basic knowledge of electrical terminology and symbology;

Requires basic knowledge of NEC and IEC;

Requires basic knowledge of OSHA;

Requires basic knowledge of electrical equipment and materials;

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity

Knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort. Demonstrated skill in organizing and supervising.

Maintains up-to-date skills in Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) relevant to design work and ensures that maximum use is made thereof.

Extensive experience in design and drafting and experience in personnel administration.

Knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.

Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.

Must have 4+ years experience workig as a drafter or designer for electrical design.

Research production specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements.

Exercise independent judgment by utilizing the correct design criteria based on knowledge from vendor data and project scope.

Must have experience using sketching and CAD software.

Must have 4+ years experience working as a drafter or designer for electrical design and Systems Analysis

Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal and Written)

Education and experience requirements are:

Knowledge and understanding of fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and BIM programs

Electrical building systems design and/or knowledge of construction techniques a plus

A minimum of two years' experience in electrical drafting;

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Revit;

Demonstrate knowledge or interest on MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on Electrical installations preferred;

Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems based on written and verbal descriptions from engineers;

Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems.

Thorough knowledge of NEC and other codes.

Extensive knowledge of lighting, photometric, and lighting controls.

Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application.

Manage and deliver revisions (ASI’s, etc).

Understands specific Electrical requirements for applications within the Market Sector.

Fresh graduate or less than 3 years working experience in the petrochemical area.

The Electrical Designer will work directly with design engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images.

Perform maintenance and repair various types of machinery and equipment

Support the build repairing and modification of PCBs and breadboard designs

Troubleshoot complex circuit design to component level

Maintain component inventories and records of equipment calibration certificates

Test and collect data to create test reports and process test data
