Requires accredited drafting training and discipline training or have prior working experience;

Requires basic knowledge of electrical terminology and symbology;

Requires basic knowledge of NEC and IEC;

Requires basic knowledge of OSHA;

Requires basic knowledge of electrical equipment and materials;

Knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort. Demonstrated skill in organizing and supervising.

Extensive experience in design and drafting and experience in personnel administration.

Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.

Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering

3-5 years of work experience with an engineering consultant

Strong oral, written, and communication skills

Prepare and oversee electrical power system design having single line diagrams, wiring and elementary diagrams along with layout and circuitry design

Coordinate designs and drawings needed for plant electrical systems to meet applicable standards and codes

3-5 years of experience and evidence of exceptional ability

Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit Electrical modeling

Advanced knowledge of electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, etc.

Experience designing electrical systems for industrial projects

Experience with eVolve, Revizto, & Dynamo preferred

Create designs in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)

Skills needed for this position:

Ability to read and draw electrical and instrumentation schematics wiring diagrams and panel arrangements.

Ability to participate in the design of schematics, wiring diagrams and panel arrangements.

Ability to work in a complex environment where information entered in databases is used to populate drawings.

Manage budget and schedule for the project’s resources and deliverables.
