Freight Brokerage Operations Director Jobs

Organized: Must be highly organized, can multi-task, has good time management skills and attention to detail.

Manage/execute bid cycle including RFP process, awards and rate contracting phases.

The role requires advanced reporting and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.

Utilize overall knowledge of company bid-rate structure to complete pricing submissions against critical (and often narrow) deadlines set by customers.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University with a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain/Logistics.

3–5+ years pricing experience required. Transportation or Logistics industry experience required.

O Maintain and improve the infrastructure of our brokerage operations, specifically centered around maximizing our agency management system within Salesforce

Bachelor's Degree (in Business, Insurance & Risk Management or a related field a plus)

Actively work for workflow optimization between two existing teams in order to deliver a more unified customer experience

Proactively identify areas to improve processes and procedures focused on delivering a great customer experience and increasing operational efficiency

4-6+ years’ experience in commercial insurance (at an in-house carrier and/or brokerage)

4-6+ years’ experience managing a team directly in a service-oriented role

Basic knowledge of US Customs (CBP) Regulations, (TSA), Transportation Security Administration, and other local Regulatory requirements.

3+ years’ experience leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of direct reports. Experience leading contractors would be advantageous.

Education: A high school diploma or GED required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.

Utilize planning tools to effectively plan the power only fleet in order to maximize revenue and miles on each unit.

5 to 10 years of operations management, pharmaceuticals, and freight experience.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

Manage freight operations to ensure that cost-effective and efficient freight services are provided to customers.

MUST HAVE TO GET IN THE DOOR: Min 5 years’ experience in selling transportation truck brokerage services

Contact new shippers by cold calling new & existing customers for more nationwide business.

Set up meetings with shippers to sell truckload and other brokerage services.

Create and present presentations for your potential customers.

Negotiate rates on new business and create contracts for new business.

Determine the best coverage opportunities. Lane-by- lane or country-wide based on shippers needs or areas of interest

2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment

Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations

Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Distribution or Logistics, or 4 years of related work or military experience

2 years of supervisory experience

Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills

Supervise staff during various inbound, city and/or outbound freight operations

•Develop carrier sales techniques focused on carrier development, capacity management and rate negotiations.

•Experience delivering P&L responsibilities in the transportation industry.

•Experience with multiple modes of transportation

•Knowledge of leading Broker Boards

•Minimum of 5 years logistics, transportation, or related experience

•Develop Pricing Strategy and Pricing team.
