Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels

Manage Forest2Market stumpage price database and grow database market coverage

Demonstrated sales ability or willingness to develop sales acumen, with a heavy emphasis on remote (phone and video calls) sales success.

Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Generate new sales of Forest2Market products, particularly subscriptions services

Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and profitability

Enhance the visual design and aesthetic experience

Demonstrated experience in safely operating power tools (i.e. chainsaw) and small to large/heavy equipment

Working knowledge of landscape, horticulture, or forestry.

Demonstrated experience safely operating and maintaining power tools

Ability to communicate with technical staff and skilled trades

Demonstrated knowledge of ornamental and California native plants

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Under the general direction of the County Arborist, develops and manages the County’s reforestation and urban forest management programs.

Experience designing and/or implementing tree planting, reforestation, and related projects.

Four-year Degree in urban forestry, Arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, or closely related field.

Ability to identify woody plants common to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Ability to create and deliver presentations to medium-sized audiences.

Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements

Preferred 3 years’ experience in arboriculture that includes lead worker or supervisory positions

Current International Society of Arborist certification required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Perform all functions of tree trimming, maintenance and removals.

Select proper tools for each task.

Vegetation Management Expertise: Extensive knowledge of vegetation management practices, including trimming, pruning, and clearance activities near utility infrastructure.

Flexibility: Ability to work independently, adapt to varying project requirements, and manage time efficiently.

ISA Certified Arborist, additional industry certifications such as ISA Utility Specialist, ISA TRAQ or other industry related certifications.

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the AiDash team and utility customers.

4-year degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Studies, GIS or related disciplines

Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and geospatial tools for data analysis, map interpretation, and reporting.

Works under the general supervision of the Parks, Forestry, Open Space Manager.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Be performed in cold, hot, or inclement weather;

Involve exposure to noise levels that may cause distractions;

Require the need to climb, bend, crouch, stoop, reach with both hands, carry, pull, push, or lift heavy objects;

Require intermittently sitting, standing and walking.

Rigging trees for proper pruning and removal by applying the essential techniques used for tree felling

Inspects and confirms certification on tree conditions conducted by private Arborists.

Maintains up to date knowledge of all applicable codes and ordinances.

Specific License or Certification Required:

Pay range: $50,255 - $80,911

Reviews tree preservation; and plans for new projects.

Investigates proposed development sites for tree preservation.

An equivalent combination of graduate education AND qualifying experience.

At least 90 days of prior wild land firefighting experience is required.

Completed at least 1 year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education directly related to this position. OR

Basic Qualifications: GS-6 grade level, you must meet A, B, or C below:

2 years experience as Project Manager implementing fuels management and/or restoration projects

Maintain organization-wide rate sheets and enter budgets into Project Tracker for invoicing and grant management

Bachelor’s Degree in ecology, natural resource management, forestry, or related field

CalFire Multi-Tribal Fire Prevention Project Management 30%

Manage the CEQA process for 200 acres of fuels reduction work on tribal land

Manage fuels reduction subcontractors for the grant

Experience in conducting outreach, education, and presentations to engage stakeholders and community members in the areas of natural resource management.

Experience with data collection and analysis and report preparation in natural resource management.

Conducts systems and analytical studies on organization, procedures, budgetary requirements, human resources management and other related management functions;

Project management and reporting requirements;

Develops and analyzes quantitative data for management control and evaluation purposes;

Makes verbal presentations of study findings/recommendations to department and County management, boards and commissions;

Have 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
