Requisite – 5 years of work experience in food processing environment with food safety/quality programs focus

Previous experience with HACCP, SSOP programs, and/or FSIS food safety regulations is preferred.

Pursuant to monitoring results, address processing, sanitation and maintenance-related issues in a timely manner via FSQC/Operations combined approach.

Bachelors degree from a 4-year, accredited college or university, preferably in the area of animal science, food science or biological sciences

Discuss production facility evaluation with management, make appropriate recommendations and set timetable for improvement and corrections

Prepare production facility evaluation reports and submit them to FSQA Manager

Assist in the development of special department projects and work in conjunction with FSQA Manager.

Follow company food safety and quality policies and requirements

Have 6 months-1 year experience in the food safety and quality assurance field, laboratory or production facility quality control.

Serve as onsite point-of-contact (POC), to manage / facilitate 3rd party partnerships as needed

Manage and maintain laboratory tools, process and consumables

Experience with Customer and Vendor management as well as familiarity with third-party auditing processes

Ability to use mathematical and statistical knowledge to assess data and determine process capabilities

Maintain the GMP, SQF, OSHA, ORGANIC & HACCP based food safety certification systems

Develops and manages quality control metrics for performance and working with cross-departmental team’s implements continuous improvement agenda and procedures

Manages Pest Control Program, Uniform, and Laboratory vendor relationship.

Establishes operational procedures in cooperation with Quality Assurance Manager, Regional Technical Manager and all Quality Assurance functions.

Implementation of GFSI Certification throughout the facility (FSSC 22000)

At least 4 years of experience in QA or QC department in the food industry

Investigates and reports on plant-specific consumer complaints and performs trend analysis. Reports findings to plant Management
