Food Safety Coordinator Jobs in Texas

Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, safety, business or a related field

Enforcing corporate and project specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state and local safety standards

Assisting in the development and coordination of project specific safety program

Identifying known/potential exposures and recommend corrective action

Reporting project-specific safety performance and future plans

Working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, etc.

Provides retail management with compliance information regarding food safety, sanitation, and pest control.

Food Protection Manager Certification required or must obtain within 30 days.

Knowledge of federal and state food safety codes and methods.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.

Work with institutional staff to train and share knowledge on safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Knowledge of safety operations and inspections

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Conduct inspections to ensure work sites are following all safety regulations and policies.

Investigate safety and accident violations.

Ability to give oral presentations

Three (3) years of responsible experience with a safety or risk management program.

Assists management in the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.

Advises department management on changes needed to meet safety goals.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in risk management, safety management, or a related field.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, management, and the public.

Oversees department's Driver Safety Program to include annual drivers' evaluations, medical re- certifications, moving violation warrants, and suspended licenses.

High School Diploma and 4 years of construction experience.

Must maintain OSHA 30 hour certification within 3 months.

Analyzes Safety Data to Improve the Work Environment

Ensures a Safe Work Environment

Demonstrated skill in leadership, communication, motivation, and people management

Work closely with Plant Manager, Superintendent and Supervisors to achieve company-wide safety goals

Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Hazardous Materials regulations

Experience in managing injury/accident claims, claims analysis, and resulting cost reduction is helpful

Solid working knowledge of Word and Excel, and ability to learn various PC based reporting system applications

Implement, maintain, and improve safety programs and processes that educate, engage, and motivate crew members at all levels

· Working knowledge of innovations in supply chain, risk management, contingency planning, and contingency execution

· Perform site level FSQA, EHS, and security monitoring inclusive of KPI management reporting

· Have experience in accident investigation, as well as knowledge of auditing and monitoring procedures
