Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.

Sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.

Ensures beer taps are working properly.

Places appropriate bar snacks on counter; keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.

Assists in opening and closing side work as assigned.

Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Prior bar/restaurant experience , preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.

Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.

We are hiring immediately for a full-time BAR BACK position.

Location: Delta Sky Club - 3822 W. 1200 N., Salt Lake City, UT 84116. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time schedule; open availability preferred. Hours and days may vary; more details upon interview.

Prior experience in the same or related field preferred.

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Maintain established bar stock levels by transporting cases of beer, bottled water, liquor, etc. from walk-in coolers to bar.

Prepare written requisitions for stock.

Maintain supplies of ice, glassware, drink garnishes, and keep fresh fruit rotated.

Offer a unique service while sustaining a level of professionalism that will encourage all guests to return.

Complete all side work duties and ensure work area is prepared for succeeding shift.

Ensure all back up supplies stocked, e.g., glassware, napkins.

Keep all ice bins full.

Ensure all liquor bottles have a “BERG” hot seal attached.

Ensure all liquor bottles without seal are returned to liquor room.

Good customer service and communications skills

Previous entry level experience in a bar or restaurant is preferred

Friday-Sunday (some mid-week during the summer)

You must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant

Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

High School diploma or GED

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 50 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
