Food Production Associate Jobs

Basic math and computer skills

Pay: $14.50+/hr (based on experience)

Use Rotisserie Oven to cook up to 3 times per day.

Utilize a broaster, to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, or other chicken items, fish and potato wedges as needed.

Take temperatures of cooked foods and cold foods.

Preparing sliced meats and cheeses, making sandwiches and wraps.

Food service/preparation, customer service or related experience/equivalent training preferred.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions operates cash register, make change, and interpret price lists and recipes.

Exposed to heat, wetness, fumes, solutions, and other similar elements. Subject to cuts, burns, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

1. Cleans and restocks Dining Room tables.

2. Cleans and sanitizes food stations and equipment; completes daily sanitation assignments.

Perform all of the duties and responsibilities of Level I

Same as Level I plus willingness to learn new skills (ie. computer)

Required Qualifications at this Level

Work requires one-year institutional food preparation experience.

Work requires two years institutional food preparation experience.

Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm )

Must be able to work in 45 degree refrigerated warehouse

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Applicant may be subject to a background check

Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment

1-2+ years of Food Production Planning

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Especially Proficient in Excel (Formulas, Filters, vLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)

Gluten Free Baking experience within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable

Requires knowledge in food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality and interaction, process design, product scale-up, plant testing and commercialization

Growth: online courses, virtual and classroom development experiences

Develop new gluten free bakery and snack products beginning at the concept phase through successful commercialization

Determine ingredient functionality through analytical and bench-top evaluation

Organize and conduct plant trials and new product start-ups

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure setting.

In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food operations industry.Food Handler Manager Certificate required before on-boarding.

A Bachelors degree in hospitality management, business, culinary arts, or a related field is required..

Conduct pre-event meetings with the catering team to ensure a thorough understanding of event timelines, logistics, and any special requirements.

Proven experience as a Catering Associate or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced catering, hospitality, or high-volume retail environment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not necessary

Two (2) or more years of general experience in food preparation and service.

Wash the dishes and small ware used by the team

Maintain cleanliness of various production areas

Assist with additional tasks around the commissary as assigned by a supervisor

Adheres to safety policies and procedures established at Dr Smood including proper food safety and sanitation

Forecast staff, equipment, and supply requirements, based on a master menu.

3 months to 1 year of Related Experience

Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.

Record production, operational, and personnel data on specified forms.

Purchase or requisition supplies and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.

Engineering Degree (Mechanical) or can demonstrate equivalent experience/training (Trade qualified)

Related industry experience, preferably within the CPG industry but not essential

Experience in equipment criticality and failure mode analysis

Exceptional communication skills and strong rapport-building techniques

Advanced skills in CMMS software/systems such as MEX or SAP

Provide leadership, coaching and support to the maintenance, allocating & prioritising tasks to execute maintenance and reliability plans
