Food Production Associate Jobs

Previous food service, cashiering and sanitation experience is desirable, but not required.

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions.

Must have sufficient mathematical ability to perform basic measurement and portioning activities including increasing and decreasing recipes.

Ability to meet established deadlines and multi-task in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.

Pay starts at $18.55 per hour with benefits available

You will be part of a team making fresh prepared food such as salads, sandwiches, and fresh sliced produce.

Dishwashing - Ensure all dirty dishes are washed, and clean dishes are correctly stored.

Food Preparation - Work with a team to prepare ingredients, including baking, cutting, peeling, mixing, and portioning.

Labeling - Apply final labels to finished products.

Bachelor's degree required. 5+ yrs. of production and management experience required.

Must have knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and maintenance requirements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Professional Development: Programs and classes at little or no cost, including through the Harvard Center for Workplace Development and LinkedIn Learning.

Certificate from chef's training institute and A.O.S. degree from accredited school required. Food handling certificate required.

Food Production Assistant Position Requirements

High School Graduate or GED preferred

Hourly. Generally day shift between the hours of 6 AM to 6:30 PM.

Expected to work overtime occasionally.

Food Production Assistant Work Schedule

Perform all of the duties and responsibilities of Level I

Same as Level I plus willingness to learn new skills (ie. computer)

Work requires one year institutional food preparation experience.

Work requires two years institutional food preparation experience.

Set up and prepare supplies and equipment for daily food preparation to include ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, broilers and steam units.
