Facilities Construction Technician Jobs

Performs general maintenance repair and fabrication projects and responds to service calls as required in a timely manner.

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs relative to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, or ventilation systems as assigned.

Changes filters and maintains grease recovery unit.

Maintains proper equipment inventories in shop area.

Assists in installation of electrical hardware by blueprints/oral instructions.

Promotes positive employee public relations; interacts with other internal departments as appropriate.

Plumbing, carpentry and painting in the remodeling and improvement of areas as needed

Troubleshoot and assist in electrical work

Operate mobile equipment including forklift and scissor lifts in the performance of duties

Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities

Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials

Make ready all office space

Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.

Performs plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, Fixture replacement.

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled

Perform routine duties associated with snow removal at designated or assigned facilities/sites.

Meet with departments to resolve problems, and implement corrective actions and procedures.

Evaluate and diagnose the effect of equipment and/or system outages on other departments.

· Works with Tool Install Management team on new construction projects and Facility improvement.

Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning.

A strong attention to detail and quality of finished architectural work will be required.

Ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required.

Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. high.

Ability to interpret architectural drawings, details, and specifications a plus.

Works construction of copper and fiber optic installations, additions, and repair jobs

Maintains upkeep of vehicles and equipment

Must follow and adhere to all standard operating procedures to promote safety including utilizing necessary safety equipment on all jobs

Follow safe work practices and adheres to the TEC safety handbook and OSHA guidelines

Must have ability to work with online mapping tools and GIS systems

Responsible for adherence to all standard operating procedures to promote safety of all employees

Basic skill with MS Office products, tablets and Data Entry

Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.

Effective communications skills, both written and oral

Minimum 6 months’ facility maintenance or custodian experience

Hand and Machine tool experience required

Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual, and listening skills

Possess knowledge in using signal meters, reading RF levels, voltage meters, TDR, etc.

Obtain certification and successfully operate a bucket truck to perform aerial construction and maintenance.

Have and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.

Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment.

NCTI, SCTE and/or other broadband certification preferred.

Previous experience in the broadband industry preferred.

Previous general maintenance experience in a restaurant environment

Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the repair of restaurants.

1-5 years of experience in a Facilities Tech position is preferred (open to various levels of experience)

Ability to work with external contractors to ensure the facility and equipment is running efficient

Management with project support by providing troubleshooting, applying knowledge, providing sketches or computer-generated designs of machine/facility components.

Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.

Lead all Utility Machinery Management operations including purchasing, maintenance, repair, inventory, transportation, storage, and cleaning.

More than 10 years mechanical facility management in an automated manufacturing plant.

More than 5 years mechanical facility management in an automotive industry in US.

During new facility construction, planning, manage installation, inspection, training.

Thorough knowledge of building codes, Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requirements, and working knowledge of information technology, mechanical, electrical, or communication systems

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified

Engineering discipline with a focus in facilities management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA , including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Demonstrated broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, chemical and architectural engineering skills with a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements across global geographies

Experience with energy management systems hardware and software including the ability to integrate and develop more efficient and cost effective solutions

Proven experience in direct management and accountability for large scale global team

Specific experience with energy system upgrades and management is preferred.

Certification or Licensure in at least one skilled trade

Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and their application to a large healthcare system.

AVAILABILITY- Maintain a flexible work schedule that includes evenings and weekends to meet the demands of executive management.

Deliver boxes to the Garden Shop area as directed by the Clock Tower Shop Manager;

COMPUTER SKILLS- Proficiency with email, basic MS Office and Google applications (including Excel, Word and electronic calendar);

Ability to use general maintenance tools and equipment (skill saw, table saw, chop saw, drill press, etc.);

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include

Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Perform variety semi-skilled and skilled tasks including the operation of power tools used in building improvements and maintenance of equipment.

Work with Facilities Manager to keep shop well organized and inventoried

Responds to emergency service calls and makes repairs or communicates to Facilities Manager to call out a repair vendor

3-5 years of related work experience.

Knowledge of Work Order Systems and Inventory Systems

Experience in the custodial field or commercial cleaning industry preferred.

Computer skills including MS Outlook for checking mail and calendar, time clock programs on a web browser.

Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Facilities Technician Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform hourly custodial maintenance services for all garden restrooms, picnic tables, pathways, buildings, and garden benches.

Maintain clean status of all garden trash, recycling cans, windows, and signage throughout the gardens and garden facilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Balance project management workload to promote maximum productivity and effectiveness.

Create and maintain a standardized project management plan and processes for managing stakeholders, communication, schedule, cost, risks, and quality.

Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven supervisory skills

Familiarity with quality management and health safety standards

Familiarity with construction/project management concepts, processes and/or software

Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization, and prioritization skills

Minimum – Relevant degree or appropriate certification/licensing; Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management

Preferred: Certification in Business Process Management ( PMP)

Follows proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.

5+ Experience as Project Manager / Project Coordinator for highly technical construction projects with Semiconductor Fabs or Data Centers

Collaborates with internal stakeholders, such as Safety, Environmental, and Legal to ensure all regulatory requirements for the projects are being met

Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution

Ideally 5+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must

Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Safety and Controls scopes
