Guide the progress of management action plans, providing technical support to ensure corporate, business segment, and site goals are achieved.

Owns decision rights for site-level EHS hiring, staff management and workload distribution.

Strong written and communication skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated issues and requirements in an easily understood manner.

Strong leadership skills and previous supervisory experience.

Ability to use EH&S Management systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

Guide a skilled team of EH&S professionals to deliver outstanding EH&S services at the San Angelo manufacturing site.

Provides technical guidance to management, labor organizations, government agencies, and civic groups regarding health related problems and proper mitigation strategies.

3 to 5 (Managerial experience) + 7 to 9 yrs. individual experience in functional area

Maintain executive and site leadership teams’ awareness of the EHS program at the site.

Support a culture of EHS excellence and continual improvement working EHS objectives into the overall facility strategic plan.

Develops and facilitates training for workers on issues related to environmental health and safety.

Supervise, mentor and coach the EHS staff and ensure their development towards career progression.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Five years of related experience preferred.

5 - 7 years of EHS Management experience.

Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and requirements including monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting.

CSP, CHMM, or other related professional certification preferred.

Develop and implement strategic training programs that educate stakeholders on EHS policies, procedures, and company standards.

Develop and track EHS and sustainability metrics to analyze and trend EHS performance and program engagement.

Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety sciences, environmental sciences, engineering, or related field.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ensure regulatory compliance and report improvement opportunities to top management.

Manage and improve the facility’s environmental, health and safety management system, based on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Responsible for sharing skills and knowledge; train other employees.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in a related field and applicable work experience.

Proficient in multiple software applications including, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other industry related software (SDS, Injury Management, etc.).

Coordinate the first-aid management, including responsibilities, training, and records.

Champion on-going ergonomic improvement projects. Provide project management related to ergonomic improvements, workstation layout, and improvement of potential risk.

3+ years experience with Environmental Health and Safety programs in an industrial setting.

Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills are essential.

Coordinate EHS compliance; maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate policies and government regulations.

Coordinate/conduct and document EHS training programs. This includes EHS orientation for all new/transfer associates. Review and revise as needed.

Experience of implementing management systems, establishing controls and optimisation programmes to ensure compliance, high performance, and robust reporting

Demonstrable experience of net zero management, project execution and reporting

Capital, system and people project management skills

Responsible for coordination of the environmental strategy, management systems and compliance

Responsible for the environmental management system (and ISO14001 where applicable) across the Americas region.

Manage all Americas internal and external environmental audits, environmental investigations and associated action plans.

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Environmental Science from an accredited institution

Thorough knowledge and training for Hazard Materials Handling and Emergency Response requirements

Develop/maintain all required written MESH and regulatory requirements, e.g., HazCom, BBP, Hearing Conservation, LO/TO, PPE Assessments etc.

Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment

Experience in electrical assemblies or engineered to order business

Experience managing people and/or teams

Strong organizational and time management skills to generate all required reports & record keeping systems in a timely manner

Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience

Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) experience, including identifying, evaluating, and controlling EHS risks in the workplace

Experience working with regulatory authorities, OSHA, and similar agencies

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations of general industry (29 CFR 1910) and construction (29 CFR 1926)

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly interpret complex regulatory issues and provide recommended course of action

Develop and implement best-in-class examples of EHS Assurance & Field Service Manual Requirements

8+ years of previous EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or related field environment

3+ years of EHS leadership experience, with proven success at developing people and developing a positive team dynamic

Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing executive leadership, as well as operational leadership and supervisors

Excellent communication skills, including that of complex technical information and data to a variety of stakeholders

Experience building and executing EHS strategy with focus on cultural enhancement and capability building
