Job Summary:

The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master's degree desirable.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Flexibility to work hours that workload may demand.
  • Able to work with more than one project or responsibility simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.

  • Knowledge of FBO and fuel operations practices and procedures.

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and the noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud. (Aviation and loud aircraft engine noise).

Travel expectations approximately 30-40%.
