Assist with the evaluation and certification of student-athletes NCAA initial, continuing, and transfer eligibility

Assist with programs that are offered by the department

Serve as the primary athletic academics contact, and as the academic advisor for student-athletes for various teams

Counsel student-athletes on academic matters and monitor their academic progress

Coordinate Academic Practice and assist with schedule development

Facilitate and recommend tutoring for students

Facilitate workshops for students and parents on matters related to problem solving, appropriate communication skills, interpersonal relations, and anger management.

Responsible for the decisive leadership in the improvement of the total educational program within the school community.

Responsible for interpretation of the school\'s program to the community groups dedicated to the overall improvement of the educational system.

Monitor student discipline patterns, generate reports and analyze data regarding student success and discipline

Responsible for the assessment scheduling and coordination of benchmark and state exams

Responsible for providing cooperative assistance in fostering interpersonal relationships within the school

Working knowledge of and experience in program management and/or event planning and execution.

Administer new student experience program budget and monitor expenditures.

Hire, develop and manage the performance of student staff (peer mentors); assure staff are compliant with UI policies and procedures.

Expert knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and large groups both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrated constructive and collaborative relationship building skills with a variety of individuals and groups, including peers, leadership, and external constituents.

Reasonable experience teaching first year, career, or transition seminars to undergraduate students.

Strong commitment to excellence in education and service

Skills in effective and persuasive interpersonal communication skills to gather information, resolve problems, and assess situations

Preferred knowledge of the greater Lakeland area

Provide professional management for assigned units and staff on the student experience (SE) team.

Formal Education Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related area.

Assist in creating a student-centered atmosphere within the SE Team that fosters the sense of personal attention and community.

Responsible for the operating budgets for assigned units and staff.

Collaborate effectively with people at all levels including serving as the lead for Alfred Kickstart, Saxon Start, and the One-Stop-Shop initiative.
