International credit experience with solid knowledge of credit limit evaluation processes is required.

A minimum of 7 years commercial underwriting experience.

Knowledge of local industry developments and trends.

Microsoft Office knowledge as well as the ability to work with internal company systems (WINS, ImageRight etc.).

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferably a master’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline with completion of a professional insurance qualification

Minimum 11 years’ significant experience in Underwriting profitable business in LoB. Expert understanding of LoB products and portfolio

Significant experience working in a complex global matrix organization leading a team of professionals

Ability to lead and manage a team of underwriters. Includes the ability to delegate tasks, steer team direction/goals, etc.

8+ years credit underwriting experience and prior credit authority.

Demonstrated experience in developing and motivating underwriting personnel.

2+ years minimum experience in underwriting/analysis of real estate investments and acquisition focused on affordable workforce housing

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work with Investment Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Pre-Construction & Development to evaluate investment opportunities.

Network and build relationships with multi-family sponsors and brokers to generate acquisitions, JV, and lending opportunities.

Lead underwriting of deals assigned - developments, acquisitions, equity, debt.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Management experience required.

Share knowledge and best practices with brokers

A minimum of 10 years underwriting experience is required with some marketing experience preferred.

7-10 years of previous property and casualty underwriting experience

Generate internal deal ratings, maintain applicable scorecards, monitor limits, oversee data accuracy to ensure compliance with internal data generation/management guidelines.

Bachelor’s/University Degree in Quantitative Fields such as Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Finance, Mathematics or equivalent experience.

Work proactively with Origination, Risk, and other internal constituents to ensure timely execution and internal reporting of new deals, syndication, amendment.

Liaise closely with Private Credit team to accurately maintain comprehensive lists of collateral approvals, pricing adjustments, and advance rate changes.

Provide the Origination team with requested historical asset performance data and other ad hoc requests, maintain various internal databases.

Validate Borrowing Base model for each new deal and subsequent changes.

Audit management – work with Underwriters to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and compliance policies.

At least 5 years insurance experience in an underwriting environment

Leadership experience, including managing operational teams

General policy administrative duties including entering data onto relevant spreadsheets and preparing and production of Insurance documents and contract endorsements

Oversee a territory underwriting team, responsible for effective business operations that include business growth, profitability, and policy retention

Partner with leadership team(s) to support open communication that is focused on increasing/enhancing productivity, improving workflow processes, and maintaining/sustaining positive morale

Provide recommendations on underwriting philosophies and guidelines for risk assessment and selection

Analyze renewal books of business and determine sustainability

Evaluate referrals and determine appropriate measures

Proficiency in commercial lines (Agriculture lines of business beneficial but not required)
