Credit Underwriting Manager Jobs in Iowa

Manage and maintain customer in-house financing while acting with integrity and confidentiality

Oversee the finance charges and distribute and review customer aging reports

3+ years of related experience or training

Open to on-site, hybrid, or remote work options

Make credit and/or collections calls daily to the customer base

1+ years of people management experience

Stress Management: Maintain a stable performance when under heavy pressure or stress.

5+ years of underwriting experience in the payment tech space

2+ years of financial analysis experience

Experience working in SaaS (Software as a service)

Maintain and present underwriting metrics to ensure the team adheres to all KPIs and to further develop the Underwriting Risk Rating.

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Experience and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or certification specialized training or equivalent work experience.

Five+ years of experience in the Reinsurance industry or property/casualty underwriting

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the organization and articulate suggestions/alternatives and analytical skills.

Quantitative math, accounting, and/financial experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of both commercial and personal lines insurance products.

Report any data or program deficiencies to management upon discovery.

Report exceptions discovered during testing to management in a timely manner.

Provide management with a summary report of testing performed outlining any exceptions.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, affected departments, and our strategic Partners.

Proficient experience with personal computers and Windows-based software, including MS Office products, and advanced skills in Excel.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training plus at least 6 years of relevant and progressively more responsible production underwriting experience

Strong verbal and written communications, and organizational skills

Strong negotiation, analytical and decision making skills also required

The ability to effectively interact with brokers and internal departments
