New Knowledge & Skills Intern Will Learn & Compensation

Familiarity with issues impacting the LGBTQ community, particularly regarding racial and social justice. Knowledge, sensitivity, and understanding of diverse LGBTQ communities.

Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal and outside stakeholders

Work with Director to develop innovative programming

Demonstrated leadership skills including recruiting, performance management, and conflict resolution, are essential. Training in de-escalation techniques preferred.

3-5 years’ experience working directly with youth and young adults.

Demonstrated experience creating and/or implementing curriculum for youth in a nonprofit organization.

Experience working with community groups and coordinating fundraising activities is desired.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsible for supporting and implementing program curriculum in partnership with Program Directors.

Strong editing, data management, administrative, organizational and computer skills

Minimum of 5 years experience within a public education environment preferred

Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, education, communications, or other related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in community and family engagement

Minimum of 5 years experience in developing programs for students

Minimum of 1 year Leadership experience
