Works construction of copper and fiber optic installations, additions, and repair jobs

Maintains upkeep of vehicles and equipment

Daily communication with PM or Operations Manager regarding project progress or other pertinent communication by the contractor.

Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements.

Assist Construction Manager with all construction responsibilities including the supervision and scheduling of trade partners from trench to customer move in.

Requires daily Salesforce log-in for customer relations management and customer care case management.

One (1) year of homebuilding or related experience preferred

Assists Project Management Team with tracking project expenditures and cost accounting, including accuracy, approvals, and payment reporting.

Assists the Project Management team by setting up project binders and printing drawings and specifications.

Performs other miscellaneous administrative duties, as required by the Project Management team.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural or Civil Engineering or related field and 5 years of position-related experience.

Organizes, track and maintain project related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence.

Perform field testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications;

You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order;

Interact with construction site personnel, engineers and/or state and federal representatives while presenting yourself as a professional representative of the company;

Driving and maintaining the appearance and operation of company vehicles to and from job sites;

Daily report writing, reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and entering data related to the various job tasks;

Knowledge of project management concepts and is preferred.

Transmission and/or substation engineering, construction, or maintenance experience at 69kV and above is preferred.

Demonstrated experience supervising construction or field crews is preferred.

Experience in electrical system protection and control engineering, construction, or maintenance is preferred.

A degree in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering is preferred.

Complete continuing education and preparation for additional certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC)

Ability to obtain certifications through American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC) with full support from CME

Test construction materials such as soils and concrete for quality assurance on commercial sites

Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results

Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate standards

Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner

Observing and documenting field activities

Sampling, testing, and inspecting soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement

Assisting the Project Manager with managing project timelines, deadlines and requirements

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and rapidly changing priorities and project demands

For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

Up to 2 years of professional construction experience

AutoCAD / Civil 3D experience

Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently

Assist the property management leasing associates in preparation of buildings for tenant move-in.

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Associates Degree or greater in Construction Management or a related field is preferred

Assist Project Manager with pricing changes and required take-offs for comparison

Provide written reports following jobsite visits with information as required by the Project Manager

Experience managing large scale projects and subcontractors is required

Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction industry is required

Previous training or experience in jobs requiring mechanical, construction, and pressure control skills.

Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to perform basic installation, repair, and maintenance of smaller pipeline facilities.

Leadership ability and customer contact skills.

Performs duties to Company guidelines and established safety procedures.

On some assignments, maintains regulator stations.

On some assignments, performs plastic joisting.

MDOT construction experience and certifications are desirable

Finalize home completions and walk homes or buildings with the construction manager and the client

Ensure maintenance of a clean job site, watering the yard as needed to create a good exterior appearance

Prepare materials for returns, fill out purchase orders, receive on-site material deliveries, remove debris, and handle waste removal properly

Take part in the forward planning process to ensure the building will be well-maintained in the future
