Construction Field Technician Jobs

High school diploma or GED

Required to take and pass the Engineering Technician test administered by the GA Dept. of Transportation.

Ability to learn to operate equipment and/or instruments as required.

Ability to assist in data gathering or collect data as requested.

Ability to perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly.

Commitment to providing quality customer service.

Time management and communication skills

Take direction from the Project Manager and work closely with other Field Engineers and field leaders.

Examine the contract design plans and establish detail design requirements

Ensure that Aldridge’s 5 Key Safety Elements are followed.

Pay close attention to detail

Produce engineering data such as design calculations; component specifications; equipment specifications, design investigations/reports

Assist the quality control manager in reviewing subcontractor submittals to ensure quality requirements and submittal format are met.

Provide technical support and feedback to the construction management team.

Ability to review plans and specifications for thorough understanding of project requirements, identify potential conflicts, and RFI development.

Coordination with subcontractors for testing equipment and installed work to ensure they meet specification requirements, functions properly, and meets safety standards.

Manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment, while promoting communications, cooperation, and quality among the team.

Review project quality-related contract submittals.

No experience is required, and certification opportunities are available with training and fees paid by the company

$15-$25/hr (Based on Qualifications and Experience, we will increase if needed)

Related work experience in construction helpful, but not required

Current industry certifications for materials testing a plus, but not required
