Clinical Trials Research Nurse Jobs

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Two or more years of nursing experience working in a hospital setting.

Minimum of 1 year or more years of experience working in an Oncology specialty area in a hospital or clinic setting.

Minimum of 6 months of clinical research nursing experience.

Maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with subjects in a clear and confident manner.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Adheres to compliance and privacy/ confidentiality requirements and standards. Adheres to GCP and compliance regulations for clinical trials.

Acquires and maintains knowledge of KP systems and databases.

Minimum one (1) year of experience coordinating research projects under specific guidance.

Minimum one (1) year of training and/or experience in research methodology/research study design, hypothesis testing; OR

Minimum one (1) year of experience in clinical trials protocols involving research methodology/research study design, and hypothesis testing; OR

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Excellent clinical, analytical and organizational skills with demonstrated research nursing ability. Working knowledge of clinical trials administration.

Proven ability to manage several projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

YCC Clinical Research Nurse (P5)

This position will coordinate care of patients of other research coordinators within the Division as needed.

This position will perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Clinical Trials Unit.

Communicates with Sponsored Programs Administration to ensure proper management of charges and billing.

Recruits, interviews and obtains informed consent from prospective subjects for entrance into clinical trials and studies.

Coordinators appropriate laboratory tests and other procedures for subjects participating in studies; including drawing blood or collection of other samples.

Coordinates with Investigational Pharmacy for subjects to receive required drugs.

Coordinates and submits IRB protocols, reports, revisions, updates, approvals.

Records appropriate clinical and laboratory data on forms provided by the principal investigator(s), federal government, and/or industry sponsors.

Perform patient assessment, offer patient education and patient/family support

Three years clinical Nursing experience

Clinical research nursing experience preferred but not necessary

Providers of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Oncology patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment

Connect participants with community resources/referrals as needed, including transportation, personal care needs, social services, etc

High School education or equivalent

Assists study staff with any concerns or questions by promptly providing the information and feedback as requested

Enters data in databases, generates reports, performs data/database maintenance, performs data tracking, and performs queries.

Provides auditable trail of documentation with consistency among data base, records and required reports

Provides reports on grant progress and assists in troubleshooting

Serves as liaison for Research Institute with all departments involved with the study.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ensure strict compliance with established research protocols and standards along with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements

Follow established SOPs, GCP and other applicable regulatory requirements in the execution of all research activities.

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of clinical research operations, including Good Clinical Practice guidelines is preferred

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families Understanding of JCAHO requirements

1 year of outpatient and inpatient clinical nursing experience in adult acute care
