Abstract extensive clinical data relating to cancer cases in compliance with CoC and WSCR guidelines and requirements

2+ years of experience working in Cancer Registry

Strong written and verbal communication skills

One year of clinical laboratory experience, including familiarity with laboratory information systems, preferred.

Appropriate interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the Medical Center.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.

Frequent sitting and standing; occasional walking and bending; occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet.

Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including telephones, beepers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms.

Good communication and organizational skills

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite

One year of previous experience or student in the Child Life studies

Provides recreational activities to patients

Prepares and cleans up the playroom/playground

Assists with the getting children to and from the playroom

Develops intermediate to advanced skills, knowledge and use of:

Specialized/technical training Successful completion of a Cancer Information Management Program recognized by the National Cancer Registrars Association

Performs case-abstracting tasks in accordance with applicable facility, State of California, Federal and CoC-accreditation requirements

Ability to multitask, possess good problem solving skills and attention to detail

Self-motivated to improve own knowledge and performance to sustain and enhance professional development

Attends local, regional or national employer-paid educational and training conferences as requested

1-2 years 2 years cancer registry experience. required

RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification preferred or

Eligibility for RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) certification preferred

Working knowledge of various computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, data abstracting programs, and conventional medical record coding systems.

Verbal and written communication skills

Collectively define and coordinate lifecycle management (LCM) strategy (incl. indications strategy/ sequencing, formulations, connected devices, combinations, follow-on assets)

Co-develop and maintain an impactful brand identity, positioning, aligning across commercial, medical requirements for global brand consistency

Bring in functional expertise in cross-functional areas (commercial, medical, market access, development, finance) to ensure appropriate focus dedicated to assets

At least 10 years senior level pharmaceutical commercial, marketing, medical, access or R&D experience successfully driving growth of multiple brands

Deep prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer knowledge (or track record to acquire required Prostate Cancer expertise effectively and rapidly)

Prior experience in launching specialty brand(s) in major market(s) (US, CN, JP, EU5, AUS, CAN)

Must have 3-5 years of Cancer Registry Experience. Can complete Complex Abstracts within 90 min.

• Demonstrates complete technical knowledge of all areas of the Cancer Registry, i.e., State of California reporting

requirements, ACoS requirements, SEER staging, TNM staging, Patient Care Evaluation (PCE), data collection and patient

• Must have a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Familiarity with and knowledge of computers, i.e., CNExT, spreadsheet and word processing programs.

• A knowledge of general principles of statistical computation is mandatory.

One year of experience in a utilization review or case management environment.

Certified Medical Assistant - Desired: Certification or National Registry as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.

Sort and organize incoming mail according to date.

Preferred: Associates degree in Health Information Management or related health care field.

Performs ongoing identification of all reportable cancer cases, which meet current state and ACoS reporting requirements.

Knowledge of Protected Health Information (PHI), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Preferred: Two years’ experience in a health care setting, experience with Epic EMR.

Strong team working and collaborative skills.

Ability to manage facilitation and consensus building among health care professionals and agencies and achieve expected results.
