Position Overview:

The Cancer Registrar II will be responsible for abstracting all patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer for all Sentara hospitals located in Hampton Roads VA, Northern VA, and Elizabeth City, NC.

They will be responsible for assisting with and maintaining annual follow-up of patients accessed to the database as well as performing data retrieval to support cancer research, patient care improvement studies, and quality assurance for physicians and the Cancer Program. They must maintain an efficient cancer database of all the patients in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network.

Required:

Must be CTR certified at the time of hire!

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred:

2yrs in Database Management

2yrs in Tumor Registry

Education Required:

High School Diploma

For applicants within Washington State, the following annual hiring range will be applied:

$23.16- $26.66 Hourly
