Ability to demonstrate: leadership, time management, interpersonal and communication skills; organized, attentive to details, with proficient technical skills.

Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.

A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

Experience working with a diverse population to include, administrators, coaches, staff, faculty, students and student-athletes preferred.

Experience working as a tutor coordinator with student-athletes or as an educator preferred.

Experience overseeing a population of student workers in addition to program oversight experience preferred.

Experience in academic support programs, knowledge of CDU policies and procedures, and data monitoring and tracking preferred.

Organizational skills and experience implementing initiatives in a team environment

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Student Affairs or Student Services unit is required.

Strong people skills with diverse groups of individuals at all organizational levels

Understanding of higher education processes and ability to quickly learn complex and changing policies and procedures

Microsoft Office Suite applications knowledge, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of current issues affecting higher education and innovative ways to support under-represented students

Organizational skills and experience implementing initiatives in a team environment

Strong people skills with diverse groups of individuals at all organizational levels

Understanding of higher education processes and ability to quickly learn complex and changing policies and procedures

Technical skills to learn and use online systems and tools

Microsoft Office Suite applications knowledge, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

3-5 years of experience working with students with significant disabilities; toileting, tube feeding, supporting hygiene needs 1:1

Establish rapport and a meaningful relationship with the referred student to assist in improving his/her behavior, educational performance, and social relationships

3-5 years of experience working with students ages 5-18 or

3-5 years of specialized experience working with students with behavior disorders; implementing BIPs and ABA strategies or

Assist with the instruction and supervision of student who may have learning differences

Assist with tutorial activities working with an individual student

Incredible experience and growth potential for future Educators, Psychologists, Mental Health Professionals, Counselors, or Teachers.

M/W -- 2-4 hours (typically between 3:00-8:00 p.m. - in-person)

T/TH -- 2-4 hours (typically between 3:00-8:00 p.m. - in-person)

Very few students can meet on a Friday or Saturday but it is not impossible

Sunday - 2-6+ hours (more flexibility and employees can chose times, but usually late mornings and afternoons)

(TIME) One hour of supervision

Knowledge of: Division I NCAA rules and regulations; and athletic academic advising best practices.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Provides and coordinates academic support through specialist meetings, referrals, assigning academic support for teams, weekly reporting, student-athlete follow-up and check-ins.
