Associate Revenue Accountant Jobs in California

Experience building and maintaining internal/external relationships.

Experience with software clients or industry experience with software revenue recognition.

Excel knowledge; can manipulate large amounts of data, pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas.

ERP experience preference towards SAP.

Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Prepare monthly/quarterly revenue reporting and analytics.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

Manage multiple priorities well and handle projects with attention to detail

Provide input to ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiencies and accuracy

Assist with making necessary updates and adjustments for accurate revenue reporting, including deferrals and rebate accruals

Participate in the accurate and timely completion of the revenue month-end closing process, including but not limited to:

Review of ASC 606 accrual

4+ years of commercial/marketing experience, ideally in subscriptions

Global ways of working experience with ability to lead/support international teams

Strong project and commercial leadership skills

Experience of strategy creation and prioritization of multiple disciplined factors

Create and deliver global business plans to deliver revenue growth objectives

Collaborate with local and global teams to achieve core KPI’s, and deliver against local opportunities

Degree in accounting or finance, professional accounting qualification a plus

Strong Excel capabilities(can perform complex functions) - SQL experience a plus

Partner with Block’s Finance & Strategy team to investigate variances between actual results and forecasts and support the budgeting process.

Passion for Block and an interest in technology/knowledge of the industry

4+ years of accounting experience

Technical and practical knowledge of revenue recognition standards under US Gaap and IFRS

Maintains governmental filing requirements, including sales tax

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least three years accounting experience

Advanced experience using Excel and other products in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations

Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents

Solid knowledge of good accounting control practices; with attention to both big picture and details
