Associate Claims Adjuster Trainee Jobs

Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to develop foundational product knowledge

Develop claim negotiation and settlement skills

Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry exposure/experience

Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims

No experience is necessary - insurance, business or customer service experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Assist customers that have been involved in an auto accident.

Conducts a prompt, thorough and fair investigation by obtaining relevant facts to determine coverage, origin, and extent of loss.

Confirms or denies coverage of the claim based on the facts and the policy terms and conditions.

Acquire and apply knowledge of legal concepts, medical terminology and home construction.

Conduct thorough examinations of claims through investigations, which includes assessing loss sites, performing research and consulting experts.

Starting pay for this position is $20.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience

Three-point contact, initial investigation, initial benefit determination.

Ability to manage and direct medical care, including strategies to maintain medical control and objection when appropriate.

Identify and manage subrogation issues on workers’ compensation claims.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Upon Completion of Training:

Ability to identify and address questionable (AOE/COE) claims.

Establish and monitor reserves at periodic intervals.

Candidates with direct envelope: 2-4 years experience is preferred.

Candidates with some or no direct envelope: a minimum of 18-24 months of relevant mechanical experience is required.
